Cabanas Los Cabos Directions Upon leaving the San Jose International Airport, proceed out to Hwy. 1 and head south towards San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It is approximately 9 1/2 kilometers (6 miles) to San Jose from this point. Keep in mind that your rental car speedometer is in kilometers. Just short of kilometer 5, on your left, is a large yellow shopping center and a Pemex gas station. In the shopping center is a market, Arumburos. You can get just about anything there that you may need. Wait on the Pacificos, as there is a beer deposito in La Playita, closer to your destination. Back on the highway, keep heading south. After about 3 stoplights, get in the left lane. You'll be approaching a very busy intersection, which makes a hard left. There you'll see another Pemex gas station on your left. This is Zaragoza, the one-way down street. Turn left on Zaragoza, go all the way down to the bottom and make a right, and you'll be in the center of San Jose. Lots of shops and eateries. Go three blocks and take a left onto the dirt road. Follow that out a short distance to La Playita. On your right is the fishing village, and directly ahead is the beer deposito. You'll be going left there, and then staying to the right. You'll pass Dos Ricardos Restaurant and will then have only about 3 kilometers left to go. As you enter the community of La Laguna, you'll see the beachfront homes on your right. Casa Miguel is #8 and Salina Vista is to your left past the gatehouse up on the hill. |

Day time fun...again The Sand falls at land's End are a must see for the diving enthusiast. There are many other water activities... wave runner rentals, sailing rentals, water taxi and glass bottom boat tours, parasailing, surfing and wind surfing. A new water activity has started in Cabo just of late, and if you'd like to get a birds eye view of Cabo this is just what you've been looking for, a paraglide tour, you are attached with your pilot to a hang glider with water floats and launched from the back of a boat much like a parasail, but the heights are much more dramatic instead of the normal 400' to 600' you go 2000' up. Bring your camera on this one! You can also enjoy a mid morning cruise on one of the snorkeling / party cruises offered. For a cost of between $30 and $50 you can spend about 3 1/2 hours aboard a boat with 20 or 30 others and enjoy the scenery along the coast line and snorkel at one of the many stops, lunch and drinks are almost always included on these cruises. Now that the water fun is covered, the options for keeping busy on land are as plentiful. The beach is the place everybody that comes to cabo spends at least a little time visiting and the action on the beach is always fun. If you want to spend your day lounging in the sun and getting a little happy hour type action while doing it, there are a number of beach side bars and restaurants on the main resort beach to keep you entertained the entire day with Places like Billygans, The Office, The Sand Bar and Las Palmas. There is always a little volleyball action to keep those sports minded people a little something to do as well. If keeping on the move is more your style then a quad runner tour of the area is a good way to enjoy a few hours...These tours are a little dusty but worth it if seeing the outer area and the old light house on the Pacific are in your plans. |
